"The creation of the pioneering time-resolved low-temperature thermometry and its application for the experimental investigation of the dynamical thermal processes at the nanoscale"The research conducted by Dr Zgirski at our institute, funded by the Foundation for Polish Science, has led to the creation and development of a unique and world-leading technique for the rapid measurement of the temperature of nano-systems with record time resolution at the nanosecond level.

"Complex dynamics of nonlinear modes of an exciton-polariton condensate"Dr Opala's research under the supervision of Prof. Michal Matuszewski has identified a new possible use of exciton polaritons - to create neuromorphic computing networks. This new concept has resonated with the community and has already led to further results published in top journals.

"One- and Two-Axis Squeezing via Laser Coupling in an Atomic Fermi-Hubbard Model"
Physical Review Letters 129, 090403 (2022)This publication in the top physics journal Physical Review Letters was led by Prof. Emilia Witkowska's group at IF PAN and was carried out largely at the Institute in close collaboration with Prof. Gediminas Juzeliūnas' group at Vilnius University. It concerns a novel method for achieving squeezing in systems important for the rapidly developing fields of quantum metrology and quantum simulations.
