Group of spectroscopy and thermal properties of magnetic materials (ON3.2)

ON3.2 Group of spectroscopy and thermal properties of magnetic materials

Main subject of research:

Main research subjects: Research interest is focused on low dimensional magnets (thin films, multilayers, superlattices) and materials with strongly correlated electrons. Experimental and theoretical studies of these objects concern mainly magnetocrystalline anisotropy and exchange and magnetoelastic (magnetostriction) interactions. The studies are carried out by means of a series of spectroscopic techniques (e.g., ESR, FMR, NMR) and by performing specific heat, magnetic susceptibility, and magnetization measurements (for which VSM and SQUID magnetometers are used).
