Fast Electrically Switchable Large Gap Quantum Spin Hall States

First-principles calculations by physicists from IF PAN and collaborators indicate the presence of a wide energy gap and the possibility of rapid switching between quantum spin Hall states in a recently discovered family of two-dimensional materials.

Quantized Spin Pumping in Topological Ferromagnetic-Superconducting Nanowires

 In an article published in Physical Review Letters researchers from MagTop IF PAN predict that the precession of the magnetization leads to robust quantized spin pumping in topologically nontrivial nanowires supporting Majorana zero modes.
