Quantum time dilation is a phenomenon where time dilation, traditionally observed in relativity, also occurs at the quantum level. It has been shown that kinematic quantum time dilation is universal, meaning it consistently affects different quantum systems, regardless of the clock mechanisms used. This establishes quantum time dilation as a fundamental characteristic of quantum systems. In contrast, gravitational quantum time dilation is not universal. The extent of time dilation experienced by different clocks depends on their internal structure, mirroring classical gravitational time dilation and highlighting the intricate relationship between quantum mechanics and gravity.
