The inaugural workshop of the XFEL Centers of Excellence Network, was held on 14-15.09.2023 at the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. During the meeting, the latest scientific work conducted with X-ray free-electron lasers – XFEL conducted by world-class specialists in this field invited to the meeting was presented. Participants also had a chance to learn about the research conducted on EuXFEL by Polish experts. The meeting provided key information on the support offered by the Network of Centers of Excellence under the MEiN project. The event was attended by more than 80 people from all over Poland, so it was an excellent opportunity for scientists interested in research using XFEL sources and complementary techniques to make personal contacts.
