The conference will cover a broad range of the topics at the crossroads of molecular biology, physics, and chemistry, including inter alia:
The 2023 conference on Biomolecules and Nanostructures will take place in the beautiful historic city of Kraków, in hotel Forest, a few steps from the Przegorzały Castle and Tower, within the unique complex on the Castle Hill. The Przegorzały Castle, known as the "Bastion", was built by the Polish art historian Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz as his own residence in the 1920s. Przegorzały is a charming town in the Zwierzyniec district of Kraków, located 6.5 km west of the city center, at the edge of the Wolski Woods, east of Bielany and west of the Kościuszko Mound, overlooking the Vistula river. It is home to several nature reserves and has retained a semi-rural character.
Biomolecules and Nanostructures 8 continues the tradition of seven previous meetings held under related names in Będlewo near Poznań, in 2004, 2006, and 2011, in Pułtusk near Warsaw in 2013, in Jaroszowice near Kraków in 2015, in Podlesice in 2017, and in the Kashubian village of Pomlewo in 2019.
The goals of the conferences in this series have remained similar. The first is to provide an attractive forum for cross-disciplinary discussions among specialists coming from different fields of biomolecular sciences and bio-related areas of nanotechnology. The second is to share the current research findings in these very active and rapidly evolving branches of science. The third is to present both experimental and theoretical approaches used in bio- and nano- studies. The fourth is to generate an opportunity for developing personal and scientific contacts and collaborations in a relaxed, non-urban setting.
The previous conferences in this series have scored an enthusiastic feedback from the participants. We hope that also this year the participants of Biomolecules and Nanostructures 8 will find an informal and creative atmosphere, conducive to the integration of science and scientists, confirming that doing science is indeed fun.
Important dates:
The conference is dedicated to the memory of Professor Marek Cieplak, the father of this series, who passed away while organizing this meeting.
